The Four Reliable

One of them is an asset,
he's in disguise,
he is clever,
yes, he is wise!

There's another voice,
the Old Sage speaking,
slow and steady,
anti-havoc he's seeking.

But above all rises one,
The One, the star!
He thinks ahead,
he thinks far!

Finally there's the Dependable Voice
that makes a lot of sense,
I trust these four voices,
out of the din dense.

All smiles?

Is everything as normal
as we make it seem?
Is this for real,
or possibly, just a dream?

We smile at each other,
we laugh at the usual cues,
but one of us hates, one loves,
how long do we ignore this news?

How many steps more
do we walk this path?
How many days will laughter
disguise burning wrath?
